Disappointing season if based on wins and losses
This season, would be disappointing if you based the season strictly on wins and losses. For the first time in four years, we did not make it to the State Tournament. Obviously, we were young and inexperience and we lost both of our pitchers even before the season began. Junior, Brittany Foster, started the season struggling with her form which led to back problems that she could not overcome. Junior Katherine Hulet worked hard during the summer but after an extensive summer and fall ball, she struggled with soreness in her arm which benched her for nearly the entire season.

Congratulations To the Dobson Summer Softball Team
6/29/2006
A big thank you to Mr. Schmitke, Mr. Franklin, Mr. Strickland, Mr. Alcott for all the time you gave to the Summer Team to help make the Dobson program successful. And a supreme thank you to Mrs. Anderson for taking care of all management duties.

Strong softball program in Hayden
4/29/2006
Earlier in the season, Dobson lost a scheduled game against Paradise Valley. As the season came to a close, two teams were considered to fill the vacant game spot. Horizon could not make the game because of playoff conflicts and Hayden stepped to fill the spot.
Hayden is rich in championship titles and proved themselves to be a tough opponent. Dobson was leading going into the 6th inning but a Hayden took the lead 6 to 5. In the top of the 7th inning, Dobson scored 3 runs and held off the Lobos to win 8 to 7.

After the game, the host Hayden Lobos treated Dobson to a wonderful lunch.
